Nanticoke Heritage Festival in Woodland, Delaware (Just west of Seaford)
This is the 1st Annual Nanticoke Heritage Festival that joins together the Nanticoke Heritage Byway and the Woodland School House Association.
The Festival will be on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, at the Woodland Schoolhouse historic site, 27866 Woodland Road, Seaford, Delaware.
The Nanticoke Heritage Festival will showcase the restoration of the one room school house, The Nanticoke Heritage Byway, the Nanticoke River and the rich history in Western Sussex County Delaware.
There will be local historical organizations, such as the Woodland School Association, Nanticoke Heritage Byway, Nanticoke Indian Association, US Coast Guard, Woodland Church, Woodland Ferry Association, with more organizations to be announced.
An antique car show, food vendors, crafters, farmers market, children activities, and attractions for all ages.
Free Musical entertainment, The Jones Boys and Charlie and the Cool Tones.
The Living History Society of Delaware 2nd Regiment will be doing an encampment this weekend. Demonstrations will be occurring throughout the day.
$2.00 entrance donation per car will help offset our cost.
