Visit One of Delaware’s Last Surviving Grist Mills
The historic Hearn and Rawlins Mill is the northern anchor of the Nanticoke Heritage Byway and is a grist mill resting along the Nanticoke River. The current mill dates back to 1880, though there was a mill on the same site that can be traced back to the early years of the 19th century. The Hearn and Rawlins Mill was water-powered and is located on an earthen dam that was rebuilt in 1912. Pay a visit to the dam, then continue on your southern journey about our historic byway.
